It’s official: CBD finally makes its triumphal entry into the cosmetic world, after the EU’s yes on February 4th. The so-called “Brussels carousel” comes to a halt, with which the European Commission has repeatedly tried to prevent the use of natural CBD in cosmetics and food, to the detriment of producers.
The European Court of Justice, in fact, ruled that CBD is no longer classified as a narcotic substance. The industrial hemp association EIHA has asked for all bans on Cannabis Sativa L to be eliminated. With the name “Cosing”, CBD was therefore recently added as an EU cosmetic ingredient.
What is CBD and why is it not a narcotic substance?
There has always been a lot of confusion regarding the subject of Cannabis, one mistakenly thinks of its amazing action and harmful effects on the body. Its use in cosmetic products, on the other hand, not only has no negative implications on the body but on the contrary, Protcannabidol, or CBD, an active ingredient extracted from cannabis flowers or cannabis tincture or resin, are a precious ally for skin and hair care.
Not many people know that the human body naturally produces endocannabinoids, a class of bioactive lipids that perform important functions, such as regulating sebum secretion, their deficiency produces negative effects on the health of the epidermis.
The cosmetic industry uses CBD and leaves out THC, which instead has psychotropic properties, the former is extracted from the inflorescences of Cannabis Sativa, remaining totally natural. The use of CBD-based cosmetics, such as our Ultra Intensive Care Treatment, is useful in case of imbalances in the function of the sebaceous glands, fights acne and psoriasis, has an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-aging function. Furthermore, cannabidiol oil can be used to replace the conditioner in the hair care routine.
